In this photo, the replacement sub-frame has had the first coat of POR-15 (tm). I have stripped all the parts off at this point and will follow with a second coat of POR-15 (tm) and then a coat of their Chassis Black top coat. POR-15 (tm) is light sensitive and I wanted it to stay black, that is why it should be top coated with a good finish paint. You need to apply the coats while the base is still a very little bit "tacky". Once POR-15 (tm) hardens, it is hard to get anything to stick to it. Kind of like "Teflon" in a can.
